    Our go to man on most things, Paul has an excellent knowledge of the agriculture industry, and all our products.

    If we don’t have something in stock, he has a natural skill for sourcing product, getting it here pronto and making sure we source it at the best price for our customers.

    Janelle has hands on experience with much of our products being local and involved in farming all of her life.

    Another friendly face at the front desk, Lisa will help you find whatever it is you need.

    Lisa is also responsible for organizing our freight runs and so speaks to many of you over the phone.

    A wealth of knowledge on most things (including computers) Jimmy can jump in the truck to deliver to you, or jump on the forklift to load your ute.

    He is very handy with chainsaws and repairs, and can also drive the computer at the front desk if you need to purchase something.

    OPERATIONS MANAGER

    David is in charge of keeping the wheels turning. If it involves getting product to the store or getting product to our customers, David is involved.

    And on top of that, he makes sure our vehicles and equipment are well maintained, and our Husqvarna equipment always leaves the shop in peak condition.

    If you want to know about new innovations or the science behind agriculture, Bryn is the man.

    He has a great knowledge base on all thing agricultural as well as the local district, and his passion is his own farming enterprise, giving him plenty of practical experience

    With such an awesome team of people around her, Karina’s job is really just to make it all fall into place.

    While most of what she does is behind the scenes, she is happy to jump in wherever she can, and always enjoys when customers stick their head in her office on their way through the shop.

    Taralga AP&H Association

    Taralga Rural have been the major sponsor of the Taralga AP&H Association Annual Show for over 20 years.
    The show is held in March each year and showcases the amazing talent and hard work of many across the community.

    A formidable team to be reckoned with. Taralga Rural has supported the tigers through sponsorship for 25years.
    An organisation close to our hearts, we hope to see the tigers run on for many years to come.

    Taralga Rural have made a contributed to the Rodeo for as long as we can remember.
    The largest event on the Taralga calendar, held on the Australia Day long weekend each year, it is a pleasure to be able to support and event where all proceeds are distributed back to the community.

    Taralga Sports Club host an annual bowls event each October which Taralga Rural contribute to each year.
    We hope our contribution keeps the kegs cold and the competition strong.

    Taralga Rural supports the local branch of the CWA through sale of red frogs and freckles.
    Taralga Rural is also involved in the junior touch football each summer, providing a BBQ and drinks at the conclusion of the competition.

    Some times our contribution to the community is in the form of muscle. Every year since the art show began, Taralga Rural has been responsible for deliverying the art screens to and from Goulburn for the art to be hung on.
    We are happy to help where we can and will continue to do so when the Art show can go ahead again.

Our History.

  • WH Bradbury and Sons 1925

    WH Bradbury & Sons (circa 1925)

    William Bradbury opened a produce store in Taralga in the 1920s.

    It was also during the mid 1920s that the railway came to the district offering a regular weekly service.

  • Bradbury & Co 1956

    Bradbury & Co (1956)

    When William’s son Cole returned from World War II, Cole purchased a second hand army truck for carting wool, stock, potatoes.

    The railway closed in 1954 so road transport probably became more relevant.

  • CM Bradbury Pty Ltd 1980

    The business grew with many trucks transporting stock, wool and produce.

    The Bradbury family ran the school bus between Taralga and Goulburn, and were one the the first members on the CRT buying group.

    A new building was erected in 1990 to accomodate the expanding business.

    The Bradbury family decided to sell the business in 2003 and the rural store and transport business was taken over by existing staff, Bryn Rees and Glenn Elliott, in conjunction Dave Rees.

  • Taralga Rural 2006

    Taralga Rural (2006)

    Even though a change in name occurred in 2006, Taralga Rural is still often referred to as “Bradbury’s” to this day.

    With the name change came expansion into new areas of agricultural service (and even hairdressing at one stage), all welcomed by the community.

    During this time, Taralga Rural established its long standing commitment to the local AP&H Society Show, and to the Taralga Tigers Rugby Union Club.

    An ownership change in 2017 saw Bryn, Dave and Karina Rees take on the business on their own.

    Commitment to expanding and supporting the agriculture sector has seen an increasing focus of our core business, rural supplies through some of the most unprecedented times in history.

    While the district has battled drought, bushfires and constantly changing conditions, Taralga Rural has establish a strong staff, changed buying groups and continues to look for opportunities to ensure it can see through the next 90 years…
